🐾 Meet Arya – Chief Drama Officer

Right darlings, let me explain how I ended up running this place.

I’m Arya. Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Five years old. Aquarius. Apparently intimidating, according to people who have clearly never watched me run away from the hoover or sleep upside down with all four legs in the air like a complete fool.

Seventeen tennis balls also feels like a perfectly reasonable number to own, for the record.

Staffies are often misunderstood. People sometimes make up their minds before they have even met us. In reality, I am 18kg of cuddles, dramatic sighs, strong opinions, and absolutely no interest in behaving normally.

On 22nd December 2024, Kate and her family gave me a home. I was a rescue dog looking for a second chance. What mattered most was finding somewhere safe, calm, and full of love.

These days I supervise parcel packing from my bed, appear in photographs, and write the cheeky reviews scattered across the website. Every time someone smiles at one of them, I like to think I am quietly helping Staffie public relations.

Last year, I proudly won 2nd Place Best Rescue at a local dog show, which felt like quite an achievement for a dog once overlooked by the world. This year I will apparently be entering Prettiest Pooch, which sounds exhausting but glamorous.
