Crash DVD

Still sealed. David Cronenberg's provocative adaptation of J. G. Ballard's novel, starring James Spader in a deliberately unsettling exploration of desire, danger and obsession.

From Dad's Collection

This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of cinema, memorable performances and films prepared to challenge their audience. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

Directed by David Cronenberg and adapted from the novel by J. G. Ballard, Crash follows film producer James Ballard, played by James Spader, whose life changes after a serious car accident brings him into contact with a group fascinated by the relationship between desire, physical danger and damaged machinery.

As James and his wife Catherine become drawn further into this emotionally detached world, the film examines obsession, alienation and the ways technology can reshape human behaviour and intimacy.

James Spader is joined by Holly Hunter, Elias Koteas, Deborah Kara Unger and Rosanna Arquette in a controlled and deliberately provocative film that remains one of Cronenberg's most discussed works.

A striking sealed title for collectors of David Cronenberg, J. G. Ballard adaptations and challenging cult cinema.

Arya's Approval

Cold, provocative and deliberately unsettling, a daring piece of cult cinema from David Cronenberg that refuses to offer its audience an easy or comfortable experience.
