This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

Directed by Philip Kaufman, Henry & June is inspired by the writings of Anaïs Nin and follows her encounters with American writer Henry Miller and his captivating wife June in Paris during the early 1930s.

Featuring Fred Ward and Uma Thurman, the film explores the increasingly complicated relationships between its central characters as artistic ambition, fascination and personal desire begin to collide. Richly photographed and steeped in the atmosphere of bohemian Paris, it unfolds as an intimate study of identity, freedom and emotional boundaries.
