This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

Directed by Bryan Singer, Jack the Giant Slayer follows a young farm worker whose life changes when magical beans accidentally open a gateway between the human kingdom and a dangerous realm inhabited by giants.

Featuring Nicholas Hoult and Ewan McGregor, the film turns a rescue mission for Princess Isabelle into a much larger struggle as the giants threaten to descend from their world and reclaim the kingdom below. Towering creatures, dramatic battles and a strong sense of fairy tale adventure carry the story from its familiar beginnings into full scale fantasy.
