This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.
Directed by Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, Monty Python and the Holy Grail follows King Arthur and his increasingly unfortunate knights as their supposedly noble search for the Holy Grail descends into a wonderfully illogical series of encounters.
Featuring Graham Chapman and John Cleese alongside the rest of the Monty Python team, the film combines sharp writing, surreal animation and completely committed performances with argumentative peasants, insulting French soldiers, the Knights Who Say Ni and one alarmingly dangerous rabbit.
An essential collector title for admirers of classic British comedy and Monty Python, presented here as a two disc Collector's Edition with its collector's book and postcards still included.
