Created by Gideon Raff, Prisoners of War follows Israeli soldiers Nimrode Klein and Uri Zach after they return home following seventeen years in captivity.

Their families have spent years grieving, adapting and attempting to build lives around their absence, while Nimrode and Uri must confront a world that continued without them.
As military investigators question the inconsistencies in their accounts, memories of captivity begin surfacing in fragmented and disturbing ways. The absence of fellow soldier Amiel Ben-Horin also raises painful questions about what happened and why only two of the three men returned.
The series develops its suspense slowly, allowing trauma, suspicion and damaged relationships to emerge through intimate conversations and quiet moments. Rather than presenting survival as a simple victory, it examines identity, guilt and the difficult process of reconnecting with people who have become strangers.
