QB VII Complete Miniseries 2-Disc DVD

Anthony Hopkins and Ben Gazzara lead a powerful courtroom drama in which reputation, testimony and responsibility collide over allegations connected to crimes committed during the Holocaust.

From Dad's Collection

This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

Directed by Tom Gries and adapted from the novel by Leon Uris, QB VII stars Ben Gazzara as author Abraham Cady and Anthony Hopkins as Dr Adam Kelno, a respected physician whose past becomes the subject of a major libel case.

After the war, Kelno rebuilds his life and earns international recognition for his medical work. His reputation is threatened when Cady publishes a novel containing allegations about forced medical procedures carried out on Jewish prisoners in a Nazi concentration camp.

Kelno brings the case to a British courtroom, where testimony and evidence begin exposing events that have remained buried for decades. The drama develops through argument, witness accounts and the growing conflict between public reputation and historical truth.

The cast also includes John Gielgud, Anthony Quayle, Lee Remick, Leslie Caron and Jack Hawkins, giving the miniseries considerable dramatic weight.

A serious, performance-led courtroom drama examining truth, accountability and the lasting consequences of crimes that cannot simply be left in the past.
