This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

Directed by Akira Kurosawa, Ran follows ageing warlord Hidetora Ichimonji as he divides his kingdom between his three sons, believing he can finally retire in peace. Instead, rivalry, betrayal and ambition tear his family apart and unleash a devastating struggle for power.
