SAS Survival Secrets Behind Enemy Lines DVD
A detailed BBC military documentary featuring former SAS personnel as they recreate the preparation, fieldcraft and survival decisions involved in operating behind enemy lines.
This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine interest in military history, human resilience and documentaries that explored how people think and respond under extraordinary pressure. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.
Taken from the BBC television series, SAS Survival Secrets: Behind Enemy Lines features former SAS soldier Eddie Stone and other ex-SAS personnel recreating the stages of a covert military operation.
The programme examines the planning, equipment and fieldcraft required when small specialist teams operate deep within hostile territory, where remaining concealed and adapting quickly to changing circumstances can be vital.
It also explores emergency battlefield medicine, survival under difficult conditions and the discipline needed when exhaustion, injury or the threat of capture places both personnel and the mission at risk.
The DVD also includes SAS Survival Guide, a bonus documentary looking at practical survival techniques, awareness and decision making through the experience of former SAS personnel.
A worthwhile addition for collectors of military documentaries, SAS programmes and factual television exploring preparation, resilience and decision making under extreme pressure.
