This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. Directed by Alan Clarke and written by Roy Minton, Scum follows Carlin, a young offender transferred to a brutal borstal where survival depends upon understanding a hierarchy enforced through intimidation, violence and fear.
