This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

Directed by Errol Morris, The Fog of War centres on former US Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara as he reflects on his political career and his involvement in some of the defining conflicts of the twentieth century.

Through interview, archive recordings and historical footage, McNamara considers the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Vietnam War and the difficult relationship between power, morality and military decision making. The documentary remains calm and measured while asking uncomfortable questions about leadership, responsibility and the consequences of choices made under immense pressure.
