The People vs. Larry Flynt Collector's Edition DVD
Brand new and sealed. Miloš Forman's acclaimed drama stars Woody Harrelson, Courtney Love and Edward Norton in a provocative story about free speech, censorship and civil liberties.
This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of cinema, memorable performances and films prepared to ask difficult questions. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.
Directed by Miloš Forman, The People vs. Larry Flynt tells the story of controversial publisher Larry Flynt, played by Woody Harrelson, whose repeated confrontations with censorship and the law place freedom of expression at the centre of a major legal battle.
As Flynt challenges accepted boundaries and public opinion, the film explores the uneasy relationship between personal responsibility, constitutional rights and the protection of speech that many people may find offensive or objectionable.
Courtney Love appears as Althea Flynt, while Edward Norton plays attorney Alan Isaacman, with James Cromwell and Brett Harrelson among the supporting cast. Rather than offering easy judgement, the film leaves its audience to confront the difficult questions at the heart of the case.
An excellent sealed Collector's Edition for admirers of Miloš Forman, Woody Harrelson and thought provoking courtroom and biographical drama.
