This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. Directed by Michael Haneke, The White Ribbon is set in a small German village shortly before the outbreak of the First World War. After a series of mysterious and increasingly disturbing incidents, suspicion spreads through the tightly controlled community.
