To Kill a Mockingbird DVD
Brand new and sealed. Gregory Peck gives one of his most celebrated performances as Atticus Finch in this enduring drama about justice, prejudice, courage and moral responsibility.
This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of cinema, memorable performances and stories with something meaningful to say. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.
Directed by Robert Mulligan and adapted from the novel by Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird is seen largely through the eyes of Scout Finch, a young girl growing up in an Alabama town during the 1930s.
Her father, lawyer Atticus Finch, agrees to defend a Black man falsely accused of a serious crime. As hostility grows around the family, Scout and her brother Jem begin to understand the prejudice, injustice and fear that exist within the community around them.
Gregory Peck brings quiet strength and compassion to Atticus, joined by Mary Badham, Phillip Alford, Brock Peters and Robert Duvall in a film whose moral questions and emotional power remain deeply resonant.
An essential sealed title for admirers of Gregory Peck, classic American cinema and acclaimed literary adaptations.
