This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of world cinema, independent film and memorable performances. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

Directed by Richard Eyre and written by Charles Wood, Tumbledown is based on the experiences of Scots Guards officer Robert Lawrence. Seriously wounded during the Battle of Mount Tumbledown, Lawrence returns to Britain facing permanent disability and a life that no longer resembles the one he left behind.

Featuring Colin Firth and Paul Rhys, the drama looks beyond the battlefield to the anger, vulnerability and isolation that can follow war. Firth gives an intense and compassionate performance in a production that refuses easy heroics and instead concentrates on recovery, identity and the difficult reality of coming home.
