In the tapestry of life, some threads shine brighter than others.

For me, that thread was my dad. An actor whose smile could melt hearts. A scriptwriter whose stories transcended the stage. A collector who spent decades hunting down rare films, forgotten gems and books that shaped his craft. Dad had an extraordinary gift for bringing stories to life and he dreamed of sharing his treasures with people who would truly appreciate them.

We talked about doing this together for years.

But life had its own script, and Dad’s final curtain fell too soon.

The Dream Takes Shape

The vision was simple. Create a place where Dad’s collection of over 8,000 books, DVDs and rare cinema treasures could find new homes. A place where every item carries its own history, waiting for its next chapter.

The “15” in Kate’s Treasures15 is Dad’s birthday, January 15th. This business is the dream we never got to build together, now unfolding in his memory. 💙

The Journey So Far

Grief did not stop the dream. If anything, it gave it purpose.

Within the first year, over 2,200 sales followed with 100% positive feedback and Top Rated Seller status on eBay. Then came our own website, a place where the story could truly grow into something lasting.

Kate’s Treasures15 became more than a shop. It became a legacy in motion.

Every great story deserves a second act. Ours arrived on four paws.

Arya, our rescue Staffordshire Bull Terrier, is not just a mascot. She is the heart of what we stand for. Dad believed every dog deserves a second chance and Arya embodies that belief perfectly. She came to us as a rescue and now she is living proof that love transforms lives.

Through her cheeky reviews and dramatic flair, Arya represents our core belief that every treasure deserves a loving home, every story deserves to be told and every rescue deserves their moment to shine.

A Mission That Matters

In honour of Dad’s love for animals and storytelling, we donate 20% of every website order to Arundawn Dog Rescue.

Arundawn saves dogs facing euthanasia. Council pound strays are given just seven days. After that they face death through no fault of their own. For over 46 years Arundawn has stepped in, rehabilitated dogs and found them loving homes.

We handle donations manually via PayPal or bank transfer so there are no deductions and no middlemen. Every penny goes directly to saving dogs’ lives, just like Arya’s was saved.
