🎬 Arya's Treasure Hunt 🎬

🐾 Arya's Treasure Hunting Service

Right, darlings. Looking for something you cannot seem to find anywhere?

I'm Arya, Chief Drama Officer at Kate's Treasures15. Kate does the actual searching while I supervise from a comfortable distance and occasionally inspect a box.

Whether it is a particular book, DVD, Blu-ray, box set, documentary or world cinema title, your missing treasure may already be waiting somewhere among Dad's shelves.

Dad spent many years building a personal collection of more than 8,000 preloved books, DVDs and Blu-rays.

It was never gathered as ordinary shop stock. It grew from his own interests, his work, the subjects he loved and the films and books he believed were worth keeping.

Only a small part of the collection has been listed online so far, which means there are still thousands of titles waiting to be rediscovered. If you are searching for something unusual, overlooked or difficult to replace, Kate will personally look through the collection for you.

Completely Free to Request

There is no search fee and absolutely no obligation to buy anything we find. You are simply asking us to take a proper look.

📚 What Could Be Hiding on Dad's Shelves?

Dad's collection is wonderfully varied. One shelf may contain political history, the next a classic foreign film, and another something so unusual that even Kate has to stop and investigate it.

Subjects and genres found within the collection include:

  • World cinema and foreign-language films
  • Classic films and independent cinema
  • Documentaries and box sets
  • History, politics and World War II
  • Irish history and political history
  • Military history and conflict
  • Literature and classic fiction
  • Film production, acting and screenwriting
  • Organised crime and true crime
  • Biographies, memoirs and cultural history

Some titles are familiar favourites. Others are out of print, obscure, forgotten or surprisingly difficult to find.

That is what makes every search feel like a proper treasure hunt rather than a simple stock check.

🔍 How Arya's Treasure Hunt Works

1. Tell Kate everything you remember

You can give us the full title, part of a title, an author, actor, director, publisher, subject or even a description of something you remember seeing years ago.

2. Kate searches Dad's collection

There is no complete computer database containing every title, so this is a genuine hands-on search through shelves, boxes and sections of the collection.

3. We email you with any possible matches

If Kate finds something that may be right, she will send you photographs, full condition details and the price.

4. You decide whether it is the one

There is no pressure to buy. You can look at the information and decide whether the item is right for you.

5. A website listing is created for you

If you would like to purchase it, Kate will add the item to the website and send you the direct link.

Arya's Official Search Guarantee

I cannot guarantee that your missing treasure is hiding here.

I can guarantee that Kate will look properly while I maintain strict shelf security and make sure nobody attempts to move a box without consulting management.

🕵️ Do You Need to Know the Exact Title?

Not at all.

Sometimes people remember a film scene but not the title. They may remember part of a book cover, an actor, a subject, a country, a director or something they watched many years ago.

Even small details can help, including:

  • A word or phrase from the title
  • The name of an actor, author or director
  • The language or country
  • The approximate year you saw it
  • A scene, storyline or character you remember
  • The colour or design of the cover
  • Whether it was a DVD, Blu-ray, book or box set

Do not worry if your description feels vague. Send what you remember and Kate will work from there.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a search usually take?

Kate usually aims to reply within 3 to 5 working days. A very unusual request, or one with limited information, may take a little longer to investigate properly.

Can I request something that is not listed on the website?

Yes. That is the whole purpose of Arya's Treasure Hunting Service. Most of Dad's collection has not yet been listed online.

Do I need to know the exact title?

No. Tell us whatever you remember, including an actor, author, director, subject, scene, storyline, country, approximate date or description of the cover.

Can I request more than one item?

Yes. You can include more than one title in your request, although a longer list may take additional time to search properly.

What happens when you find a possible match?

Kate will email you photographs, condition information and the price. A website listing will only be created if you confirm that you are interested.

Will the item be reserved for me?

When a listing is created specifically for your request, Kate will normally give you a reasonable opportunity to purchase it before making it widely available.

What happens if you cannot find it?

Kate will let you know honestly. New items are continually discovered while Dad's collection is sorted, photographed and listed, so it may still appear at a later date.

Is the service really free?

Yes. There is no fee for the search and no obligation to purchase an item if one is found.

A Final Word From Arya

Every successful treasure hunt deserves a celebration.

Kate suggests a polite email.

I suggest streamers, biscuits and a formal presentation ceremony.

Once again, management lacks vision.
