From Dad's Collection

This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of television, memorable performances and comedy built around strong characters and brilliant writing. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

Created by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, Dad's Army follows the wonderfully mismatched members of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard during the Second World War, led by the determined Captain Mainwaring.

Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn, John Laurie, Arnold Ridley, Ian Lavender and James Beck created a group of characters who became part of British television history, with their rivalries, misunderstandings and perfectly timed one liners still enjoyed generations later.

This fourteen disc collection brings together the complete surviving television series, offering more than 30 hours of classic BBC comedy for longtime fans or anyone discovering Walmington-on-Sea for the first time.
