This copy comes from my dad's personal collection. Dad was an actor and scriptwriter with a genuine love of cinema, imaginative storytelling and films capable of transporting an audience into another world. His collection remains an important part of Kate's Treasures15, with each title now looking for a new home where it can continue to be appreciated.

The original Star Wars Trilogy follows Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo as they become central figures in the Rebel Alliance's struggle against the Galactic Empire, beginning with a mysterious message and growing into an epic battle across an entire galaxy.

Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope introduces Luke to Obi-Wan Kenobi and the power of the Force. The Empire Strikes Back places the heroes under relentless pressure and reveals truths that transform Luke's understanding of his past.

In Return of the Jedi, the Rebellion prepares for its final confrontation with the Empire as Luke faces Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher bring humour, courage and humanity to a story built around friendship, sacrifice and redemption.

This 2004 collection presents the trilogy in digitally restored and remastered form. These are the updated Special Edition versions of the films rather than the original unaltered theatrical cuts.
