Some items on Kate's Treasures15 are chosen because they are beautiful or useful. Some are here because they meant something to my dad. He was an actor, a scriptwriter, and a serious collector of films and books that had something to say. This is one of those pieces.

This is the original trilogy that set the standard. Big adventure, brilliant characters, and a story that somehow feels both mythic and personal at the same time. It is the kind of set people return to because the world is so familiar and the storytelling still works.
