For anyone who knows that some of cinema’s most unforgettable stories begin far beyond Hollywood.

World cinema was one of the most important parts of Dad’s collection and remains a very special part of Kate’s Treasures15.

Dad was an actor and a scriptwriter with a genuine love of cinema. He was interested in the way stories changed across countries, cultures and different filmmaking traditions.

His shelves were filled with films chosen for their atmosphere, performances, writing and originality rather than their popularity. Some were celebrated classics, while others were far less familiar but stayed in his collection because they offered something memorable.

The collection includes films from across Europe, Asia and further afield, covering powerful dramas, quiet character studies, political cinema, arthouse favourites, striking thrillers, cult discoveries and stories that refused to follow a predictable path.

You may also find distinctive editions from respected labels such as BFI, Masters of Cinema, Artificial Eye and Tartan Asia Extreme.

Every pre-owned disc is tested before listing. Each product page includes photographs of the actual item, an honest condition description and the available language, subtitle and region information.
